Composer's Biography
Stefano Vicelli
Born in 1987, Stefano Vicelli is a pianist/composer from Piedmont, Italy. He studied piano with Maria Luisa Facchin and composition with the saxophonist and composer Marco Lasagna: since 2007 he's been treating researches on repertoires of Italian and French Baroque. He has obtained, as pianist and as composer/arranger, prizes and mentions in important national and international competitions (only in 2009: International Competition “Opera Omnia”, Concorso Nazionale Castagneto Carducci - Livorno, Concorso internazionale “Alice Bel Colle” - Asti, “Silenzio Musica Competition” - Rimini, “Suoni di Legno” - Pisa), he has treated some critical edition on italian harpsichord and organ works, and has published stylistic studies on the great masters of baroque Antonio Vivaldi and Leonardo Leo. His works are edited by EMW (Milan) and Fons Musicae (Rome).
