Composer's Biography
Max Michael Doehlemann
Max Doehlemann was born in Hamburg, 1970. He studied composition at the Musikhochschule München and conducting at the Musikhochschule "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin. He has written numerous works of classical music, vocal music, chamber music, orchestral music. Another aspect is music for theatre (e.g. numerous productions at the Berliner Ensemble as a composer, pianist, musical director). Max Doehlemann also works as a professional jazz pianist. In addition to that he has worked in the area of film scoring - wrote the music to 60 episodes of a daily soap for ARD television in the mid-90ties. Another focus is "New Jewish music". His new CD is due to be released in the fall.
